I think you can´t speak about french cars in general.

I used a lot of Peugeots (405 mostly) for driving in winter. Never had any trouble just the lights in the back starts going crazy very often (blinking backup lights and stuff, but this can be easiely fixed)

IMO Peugeots and Citroens are very good cars. But I can´t say that for Renaults. Some friends I know ride Renaults and they had a lot of trouble specially with electric and engine.

I really enjoy the rfactor version of pikes peak. Specially with the Peugeot 405 and the Audi S1. Escudo is fast but I don´t like that car.

I´m coming from the good old Atari 2600 / C64 age. So I don´t care about 50 Euro more or less and I don´t need more storage on hd.

I voted for spec2.

I use a AMD 5000+ with 2gigs and a 1950 Pro. Rocks imo, more then 200 fps in lfs and 60 in tdu is enough for me right now. This is also my first system that is able to run Simcity 4. Personally I don´t mind if AMD or Intel is faster. I only had one Intel system (P90) with a lot of trouble and I think AMD is "cooler"

I payed around 900 Euro for

- Shuttle XPC Barebone (black)
- AMD 5000+
- 2x1 gb corsair RAM
- 1950 Pro 256mb
- 2x74gb Raptor S-ATA (raid0)

Wrong. Nothing looks more stupid then someone driving in a UF1 with a helmet. As far as I can see most people that are using lfs now are cruisin on LTC and others. No helmets needed there. As long as you stay away from the white/red barriers.

But your right with the beard. Having a clean shave before the race can improve your laptimes because of the better aerodynamic.

I don´t think it´s too much money for something like this.

A year ago I was thinking about buying an ECCI Trackstar for 1.600 Euro but I choose to buy a new (used) real-car engine for the money.

Same here. I really can´t understand why people who are not playing the chase view voted for no. What is your problem? It´s a fact that some (fast) guys uses the chaseview. Wouldn´t it be nice that they also have a mirror and do not block because of the mirror? What aboutthe tire view? Is that more realistic then the chase view?

IMO it´s not that simple to code a mirror in chase view because its a dynamic view. So the mirror has to be dynamic too. Even a button to switch the view backwards would help.

Im not playing LFS that much because Im a bit "unsatisfied" with the track and car content of the game. The cars are simply too slow for the kind of racing I like.

If the developers only add weather and stuff and no more cars/tracks I will not buy S3. If they will make a new graphics engine and add more content I will buy it, that´s for sure.
